Of note today is Lane Lambert said Cal Clutterbuck has been skating (although not with the team). No other updates on JG Pageau or Mat Barzal, although Barzal has been seen watching practice in recent days and seems to be walking around fine, for whatever that's worth.

Michael Russo
Senior Writer, Wild
I’m getting the impression the #mnwild do have options if they want to trade Alex Goligoski and he was willing to waive. For that to happen, I’d think the Wild would need to acquire a depth D though

Senior Writer, Penguins
Seems biggest win for Penguins is ridding themselves of another bad contract that had term: McGinn had two-years remaining at $2.75M cap hit. He was GM Ron Hextall's first UFA signing.
If you're struggling to identify a plan from the Penguins, or if you're curious as to what obstacles they're facing from a business-standpoint (and you should be) — well, I touched on that in this NHL Trade Deadline state of franchise column: athl.tc/cViS
It's Brock McGinn and a third-round pick for Dimitri Kulikov. Seems the Penguins have a logjam at left defense, and I doubt GM Ron Hextall acquired Kulikov to be a No. 7 on the back end. Metrics for Kulikov are B-A-D. Doesn't seem like he's an fit for Mike Sullivan's system.

Eric Stephens
Staff Writer, Ducks & Kings
#NHLDucks apparently now cracking open their deadline action. @PierreVLeBrun reporting Dmitry Kulikov on the way to Pittsburgh, with @emilymkaplan following up the return is a third-round pick and a player.
Been driving and on phones. Some stuff: Penguins adding Kulikov. Penguins out on Miller. No trade call yet on Bonino.

Jayson Stark
Senior Writer, MLB
A week into spring games, here's another pitch-clock update: Avg game time this spring: 2:38 Last spring at this point: 3:00 So 22 minutes shorter 95 games 155 violations 1.63/gm - now under the 1.73 in the first week in the minors last year 111 on pitchers 38 on hitters
Marcus Pettersson has grow into a legit top-4 defenseman. His cap hit and term are agreeable. Any move the Penguins would make involving him would make the defense corps WORSE. If idea is to compete now and future, trading second-best Dman would be a bad idea.

Joe Rexrode
Senior Writer, Tennessee
Vanderbilt has made Liam Robbins' season-ending leg injury official. Brutal news for a legit NBA hopeful who has had injury troubles, and for this Vanderbilt team. Jerry Stackhouse told 102.5-FM in Nashville that Robbins is in surgery today to repair a fracture. The win at Kentucky might revive at-large talk if not for this. It's SEC Tournament title or bust. And this team does remain dangerous.
