There are more than five computer science conferences that professionals are told they must attend; however, it can be difficult to determine which conferences meet the needs of the professionals. Because computer science can be used in a variety of different ways, from making you a better leader to ensuring cyber security is maintained, there are questions of which events, out of dozens, can fit the requirement. Here are the conferences that are in most demand right now in the field.
The IEEE is the single biggest conference purveyor for computer science professionals. The institute hosts the International Conference on Cyber Security and Cloud Computing every year; 2018 will be the fifth outing. This is considered a must-attend conference for professionals who focus on cybersecurity, as it is the largest and best-known event of its kind. Submissions are currently being accepted for the 2018 outing, which has yet to be determined.
Another event that computer science professionals are excited about is the Annual International Conference on Computer Science Education. Taking place in different countries every year, the 2017 event took place in Singapore; the 2018 location and date has yet to be announced. Workshops, lecture series, and continuing education short courses are expected as they are annual additions to the conference. This is also a conference that is open to both professionals and students, so be sure to apply for email updates.
An international conference that brings the computer science industry together every year, this event takes place every year in a new location. While dates have yet to be determined for the coming year, it is an event that no professional should miss out on. As usual, submissions are being accepted as abstract or full-length papers; networking opportunities, keynote speakers, and a lecture series are also expected. The international body counts this outing as one of the most important in the yearly event calendar, so professionals should hurry to register their interest before the early bird special registration amount is gone.
ISCA : International Symposium On Computer Architecture
The annual International Symposium on Computer Architecture is a great conference for computer science professionals. It is considered as the premier forum on all issues dealing with experiments and new ideas that focus on computer architecture. The 2017 event has already passed, but submissions are being considered for the June 2018 outing of this events. 2018’s conference will take place in Los Angeles, California, and will focus primarily on new research done in the realm of computer architecture, including multiprocessor systems, dependable architecture and more. Computer science professionals interested in, or specializing in, the field of computer architecture and the systems it is comprised of are encouraged to attend.
IWISC : 3rd International Workshop On Interactive And Spatial Computing
Entering its third year, the IWISC 2018 conference will focus on interactive and spatial computing. The conference, which will be held in Richardson, Texas, in April, is hosted by the University of Texas Dallas Institute for Interactive and Spatial Computing. Submissions are currently being accepted; the conference is also expected to host keynote speakers on a specific topic that has not yet been announced. Networking and workshop opportunities are also expected to be available for new and emerging computer scientists in the field.
Computer science is a field that is growing at an exponential rate. It’s hard to keep up with the evolution of advancing technologies, but it is the duty of every professional to try.
