Our national language 

Hindi is our mother-tongue, our national language. It is the language that most of the north Indians relate to. The majority of the north Indians speak Hindi. There are other vernacular and regional languages too, like Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, etc. Well, Hindi is the language we use in ou daily lives, Hindi is certainly the home language of we Indians. Hindi is a very beautiful language, its very aesthetic in its tone. Though we use English as an associate language, as in the other people from the other regions who don’t understand Hindi, they use English as a language too. They converse in English to convey their ideas to the people who majorly know Hindi or English. 

Hindi is our national language, it was adopted by the constituent assembly after independence in 1947. Our language though is Hindustani, a mixture of Hindi and Urdu. 

Hindi- Our mother tongue 

Now, though learning Hindi comes across less fashionable, people are getting more fascinated by foreign languages and forgetting the essence of Hindi. The emphasis on English is widely growing and that’s causing a major threat to the importance and the significance of Hindi. Hindi has become an alien language in its territory. 

Hindi is the language that keeps us connected to our roots. Yes, English is indeed a global language, it gives you a way to reach out to the diverse domains and spheres, but one should not forget the importance and the identity of Indians that is very much inherently rooted in the language- Hindi

हिंदी: संपर्क भाषा, राष्ट्रभाषा और राजभाषा:

हिंदी भाषा के अनेक रूप हैं – संपर्क भाषा, राष्ट्रभाषा और राजभाषा । हिंदी प्रदेशों एवं हिंदी प्रदेशों में हिंदी भाषा आम बोलचाल, बाज़ार, व्यापार, राजनीति, पत्रकारिता, सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक संदर्भों में आपसी वैचारिक आदान-प्रदान के रूप में काम में आ रही है। बल्कि अब इलेक्ट्रोनिक मीडिया के द्वारा देश की सीमाओं से परे विदेशों में भी फैलती जा रही है। यह हिंदी का एक संपर्क भाषा का रूप है। स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान राष्ट्रीयता की भावना का माध्यम बनकर संपूर्ण राष्ट्र की वाणी का प्रतिनिधित्व करने के लिए हिंदी को अपनाया गया और उसे स्वतंत्रता के बाद देश की अन्य 22 भाषाओं को साथ-साथ राष्ट्र के विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान करने वाली भाषाओं के रूप में संविधान की आठवीं अनुसूची में स्थान दिया गया। सरकारी कामकाज के माध्यम के रूप में हिंदी को भारत संघ द्वारा एवं हिंदी प्रदेशों द्वारा अपनाया गया है, वह हिंदी का राजभाषा का रूप है। किंतु विचारणीय यह है कि हम आज़ादी के बाद हिंदी को राजभाषा के रूप में अधिक विकसित करते हा रहे हैं या उसकी भूमिका को सिकोड़ते जा रहे हैं।

स्वतंत्रता से पूर्व हिंदी की स्थिति:

हमारा संविधान और राजभाषा हिंदी:

भारतीय संविधान में अनुच्छेद 343 से 351 तक हिंदी के राजभाषा संबंधी व्यवस्था के निर्देश हैं । अनुच्छेद 343(1) में देवनागरी लिपि लिखी जानेवाली हिंदी को संघ की राजभाषा कहा गया है, साथ ही प्रारंभ के 15 वर्षों तक अंग्रेज़ी के प्रयोग को भी सभी शासकीय कार्यों के लिए मान्यता दी गई। अनुच्छेद 344 के अनुसार प्रत्येक पाँच वर्ष के पश्चात् राष्ट्रपति एक भाषा आयोग की नियुक्ति करेंगे। वह आयोग हिंदी का उत्तरोत्तर अधिक प्रयोग करने और अंग्रेज़ी का प्रयोग घटाने की सिफ़ारिश करेगा। अनुच्छेद 345, 346, 347 के अनुसार दो प्रदेशों के बीच अथवा एक प्रदेश और संघ के बीच संवाद विनिमय के लिए अंग्रेज़ी अथवा हिंदी का और परस्पर समझौते से केवल हिंदी का प्रयोग किया जा सकेगा । किसी राज्य की विधानसभा विधि द्वारा अपने प्रदेश की भाषा को मान्यता प्रदान कर सकेगी। यदि कोई राज्य अंग्रेजी को जारी नहीं रखना चाहता तो विधि द्वारा उस प्रदेश की भाषा राजभाषा हो जाएगी । उच्च न्यायालय तथा उच्चतम न्यायालय की भाषा अंग्रेज़ी होगी किंतु राष्ट्रपति या राज्यपाल की पूर्व सम्मति से हिंदी अथवा उस राज्य की भाषा का प्रयोग उच्च न्यायालय की कार्यवाही के लिए प्राधिकृत किया जा सकेगा।

राजकीय प्रयोजनों में हिंदी के विकास के लिए अनुच्छेद 351 का विशेष महत्व है। संघ को यह कार्य 15 वर्षों में कर लेना चाहिए था किंतु राजनीतिक इच्छा के अभाव में छह दशकों के बाद भी संघ अपने कर्तव्य को बहुत कम पूरा कर पाया है। राजभाषा अधिनियम, 1967 के द्वारा अंग्रेज़ी के प्रयोग को अनिश्चित समय तक जारी रखने का उपबंध भी किया गया है जिसके फलस्वरूप अब कोई प्रदेश तक चाहेगा, अंग्रेजी को भी संघ की राजभाषा के रूप में अपनाता रह सकेगा। इस प्रावधान से अब मिज़ोरम, नगालैंड आदि प्रदेश जिन्होंने अपनी प्रादेशिक भाषा ही अंग्रेजी अपना रखी है, हिंदी से जुड़ने की मानसिकता से मुक्त हो गए हैं।

राजकाज में हिंदी का प्रयोग:

संघीय स्तर पर राजभाषा के रूप में अंग्रेज़ी का वर्चस्व आज भी कायम है। जो स्थिति मुगल काल में जनता से परे की भाषा, शासकों की भाषा फ़ारसी की थी, कमोबेश वही स्थिति आज अंग्रेज़ी की है। अंग्रेज़ी आज दक्षिण भाषा-भाषियों के विरोध के कारण ही नहीं, बल्कि प्रशासकों एवं समाज के उच्च वर्ग के अपने निहित स्वार्थ के कारण, राजकाज के स्तर पर, उच्च शिक्षा के स्तर पर छाई हुई है। जब तक अंग्रेज़ी के साथ प्रतिष्ठा, सत्ता, नौकरी और पैसा जुड़ा रहेगा, तब तक लोगों से यह अपेक्षा करना कि वे अपने बच्चों को अंग्रेज़ी न पढ़ाएँ, एक तथ्य को अनदेखा करना होगा । जब तक ये अंग्रेज़ी के मानस-पुत्र सत्तारूढ़ रहेंगे, तक तब अंग्रेज़ी शिक्षा भी प्रचलन में रहेगी और राजभाषा के रूप में भी। गाँधी जी ने अंग्रेज़ी के इस मोह से पिंड छुड़ाना ‘स्वराज’ का अनिवार्य अंग माना था, किंतु देश की विडंबना है कि वह इस मोह से  छूटने की बजाय दिन-प्रतिदिन उसमें जकड़ता जा रहा है। यही हमारी गुलाम मानसिकता का परिचायक है और हिंदी की अपनी त्रासदी भी है।

राजभाषा की वर्तमान स्थिति:

हिंदी को राजभाषा के रूप में अपनाने में राष्ट्रीय-प्रतिबद्धता की कमी तथा क्षेत्रीयवाद एवं चंद शासक वर्ग द्वारा आम जनता को पिछड़ा रखने की साज़िश तो है ही साथ ही राजभाषा के रूप में कभी हम अंग्रेज़ी के अनुवाद बहुत जटिल कर बैठते हैं, कभी वैज्ञानिक एवं तकनीकी शब्दावली आयोग द्वारा निर्मित तकनीकी शब्दों का प्रयोग नहीं करके भ्रम फैलाते हैं,  कभी हिंदी के शब्द-कोश, टंकण, कंप्यूटर आदि खरीदने में शिथिलता बरतते हैं, कभी अंग्रेज़ी का जो ढर्रा चला आ रहा है उसे बदलने में संकोच या आलस करते हैं। प्रत्येक 14 सितंबर को सरकारी कार्यालय प्रायः हिंदी दिवस , सप्ताह, पखवाड़ा या मास का आयोजन करते हैं किंतु जितनी निष्ठा से हिंदी को अपनाने का कार्य होना चाहिए वह नहीं करते । दरअसल हर सरकारी कर्मचारी यदि अपने राष्ट्रीय एवं भाषाई बोध से गर्वित होकर कष्ट उठाकर भी हिंदी को अपनाने का संकल्प कर ले तो राजभाषा के रूप में हिंदी का शत-प्रतिशत व्यवहार संभव हो सकता है । हम संकल्प लें और करें, अन्य कोई उपाय नहीं है।

राजभाषा हिंदी: राष्ट्रीय अस्मिता और सांस्कृतिक गरिमा का सवाल:

संघ की राजभाषा के रूप में हिंदी को अपनाना और अंग्रेज़ी से मुक्ति चाहना न केवल प्रबल राजनीतिक इच्छा की अपेक्षा करता है बल्कि राष्ट्रीय अस्मिता और भारतीय जनता की अपनी भाषा को गौरवान्वित करने की समझ से भी जुड़ा हुआ है । हिंदी का प्रश्न आम जनता के विकास का प्रश्न भी है क्योंकि अंग्रेज़ी के 3 प्रतिशत लोग हैं जबकि 44 प्रतिशत जनता की भाषा हिंदी ही है। अतः न केवल राजनीतिक निर्णय के रूप में बल्कि आम जनता के भावात्मक एवं बौद्धिक विकास की दृष्टि से हिंदी को संघ की राजभाषा के रूप पूरे देश में, सभी प्रादेशिक सरकारों द्वारा अंगीकार करना चाहिए तथा अपनी सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक गरिमा एवं राष्ट्रीयता को सम्मान देने का परिचय देना चाहिए।

हिंदी भाषा पर निबंध 200 शब्द

हिंदी की लिपि “देवनागरी” है, जो कई अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं के लिए संयुक्त है।  इसमें कोई संदेह होना चाहिए है कि चीनी भाषा के बाद हिंदी दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा बोली जाने वाली भाषा है। भारत में रहने वाली एक बड़ी आबादी अपनी आम बोलचाल की भाषा के लिए हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग करती है। हिंदी भाषा की उत्पत्ति प्राचीन संस्कृत भाषा से हुई है और इसके अधिकांश शब्द संस्कृत से आए हैं। हिंदी भाषा को समझने वालों की कुल संख्या लगभग 90 करोड़ है, लेकिन यह कहना मुश्किल है कि वे अपनी आम बोलचाल की भाषा के लिए शुद्ध हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग करते हैं।

भारत में आज भी केंद्र में सभी सरकारी कार्यों में अंग्रेजी भाषा का प्रयोग किया जाता है, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है कि आप हिंदी पढ़ और बोल नहीं सकते। आज भी पूरी दुनिया में लगभग 500 मिलियन लोग हिंदी बोलते हैं और अधिकतर लोगों का मानना है कि हिंदी भाषा का महत्व अधिक है, इसलिए हिंदी भाषा को राष्ट्रभाषा का दर्जा प्राप्त है लेकिन उनको यह जानकारी होनी चाहिए कि हिंदी भाषा को राजभाषा का दर्जा प्राप्त है ना की राष्ट्रभाषा का, भारत में कई जगहों पर हिंदी भाषा का प्रयोग नहीं करते हैं और कुछ लोग यह समझते हैं कि हिंदी भाषा का इस्तेमाल सिर्फ आम बोलचाल की भाषा के लिए ही इस्तेमाल होना चाहिए।

प्रत्येक स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र की अपनी भाषा होती है जिसका उपयोग देश में आधिकारिक कार्यों और विचारों के आदान-प्रदान के लिए किया जाता है। जब कोई देश दूसरे देश को गुलाम बनाता है तो वह उस देश की भाषा के स्थान पर अपने देश की भाषा का भी प्रयोग करता है ताकि गुलाम देश पर उसका प्रभाव बढ़ाया जा सके। जब भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ, तो हमारे संविधान निर्माताओं ने देश की राष्ट्रभाषा पर आधिकारिक कार्य के लिए राज्य भाषा के स्थान पर हिंदी की स्थापना की। इसलिए हिन्दी देश की राष्ट्रभाषा है।

हिंदी देश की संपर्क भाषा

हिंदी ने आजादी की लड़ाई लड़ी है, हिंदी ने उत्तर से दक्षिण को जोड़ा है। यह भारत की एकमात्र संपर्क भाषा है। हिंदी के माध्यम से कोई भी व्यक्ति भारत के किसी भी कोने में अपना काम चला सकता है। यह हिंदी भाषी प्रांतों में एक बहुत लोकप्रिय भाषा के रूप में बोली जाती है, लेकिन यह गैर-हिंदी भाषी प्रांतों में भी आमतौर पर बोली या समझी जाती है।

दक्षिण के किसी भी प्रांत में हर कोई हिंदी समझ सकता है। आंध्र, कर्नाटक, केरल, गोवा के लोग हिंदी को अच्छी तरह समझते हैं। अगर सर्वे ईमानदारी से किया जाए तो पूरे भारत में 80% लोग हिंदी भाषी समझ सकते हैं, लेकिन माहौल ऐसा हो गया है कि जनगणना के मौके पर लोग हिंदी भाषा जानने के बारे में भी नहीं लिखते हैं। तमिलनाडु में लोग हिंदी जानते हैं परंतु यदि उनसे हिंदी में बात की जाए तो वह जानते हुए भी उसका हिंदी में उत्तर नहीं देते हैं। यह हिन्दी के प्रति वर्तमान परिवेश का परिणाम है।

हिंदी भाषा स्थान

हिंदी भाषा इस समय विश्व की उन भाषाओं में से एक है जो अधिकांश लोगों द्वारा बोली जाती है। वर्तमान में विश्व के प्रत्येक विकसित देश के रेडियो प्रसारणों में हिन्दी का अच्छा सम्मान है। दुनिया के लगभग सभी देशों के विश्वविद्यालयों में हिंदी पढ़ाई जाती है। अमेरिका के 26 विश्वविद्यालयों में हिंदी पढ़ाई जाती है और हॉलैंड के सभी 12 विश्वविद्यालयों में हिंदी पढ़ाई जाती है. इसी प्रकार हिन्दी को अन्य देशों में भी गौरवपूर्ण स्थान प्राप्त है।

भारत के सभी विश्वविद्यालयों में हिन्दी पढ़ाई जाती है। अधिकांश विश्वविद्यालयों में शिक्षा का माध्यम हिंदी है। हिन्दी देश की एक समृद्ध भाषा है जिसमें सभी प्रकार के साहित्य की रचना हुई है। हिन्दी साहित्य ने अब तक कई महान साहित्यकारों को जन्म दिया है। यह सभी विषयों में पूरी तरह से विकसित किया गया है। कबीर, सूर, तुलसी, बिहारी आदि प्राचीन कवि हिन्दी के पुत्र रहे हैं। हिन्दी ने भारतेंदु, द्विवेदी, प्रसाद, मैथिलीशरण गुप्त, पंत, महादेवी वर्मा, दिनकर, प्रेमचंद आदि आधुनिक साहित्यकारों को जन्म दिया है। हिन्दी में साहित्य की सभी विधाओं में तीव्र गति से कार्य चल रहा है।

संविधान के अनुच्छेद 343 के तहत आधिकारिक उद्देश्यों के लिए हिंदी को देश की राजभाषा बनाया गया है। अनुच्छेद 350 के अनुसार हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए सदैव प्रयास करना केंद्र सरकार का दायित्व है। केंद्र सरकार अब तक संविधान में मंजूरी के बाद भी हिंदी को बढ़ावा देने में विफल रही है। हिंदी भाषी राज्यों में इसका इस्तेमाल सरकारी कामों के लिए बहुत कम होता है।

स्व-भाषा के प्रति उदासीनता

हिंदी हमारे देश में एक समृद्ध और लोकप्रिय भाषा होने के बावजूद, इसके प्रति हमारे शासकों और प्रशासकों की उदासीनता देश के लिए घातक साबित हो रही है। दुनिया में कोई छोटा या बड़ा देश नहीं है जिसने अपनी भाषा को इतना उपेक्षित कर दिया हो। हमारे देश के संविधान द्वारा स्वीकृत होने के बाद भी, लोकप्रिय हिंदी समृद्ध भाषा का काम न करके अंग्रेजी भाषा को एक प्रतिष्ठित स्थान मिला है। अंग्रेजी के प्रति इतना आकर्षण और हिंदी के प्रति उदासीनता देश की आजादी के बाद भी बढ़ी है। हमारे देश के नेताओं ने अपने क्षुद्र लाभ के लिए हिंदी को अपने विरोध का खिलौना बना लिया है।

स्व-भाषा संघर्ष के परिणाम

जो अपनी भाषा के प्रति उदासीन है, वह अपनी आत्म-संस्कृति के प्रति भी उदासीन है। जो अपनी भाषा और संस्कृति से प्यार नहीं करता वह अपने देश और समाज से प्यार नहीं करता। एक बच्चा जो अंग्रेजी माध्यम से शिक्षित होता है, वह अंग्रेजी भाषा, पश्चिमी संस्कृति के लिए महान और भारतीय भाषा और संस्कृति हो हिन् समझता है। इसलिए वे भारतीय लोगों को भी हिन् मानते हैं।

हमारे यहां भारतीय भाषा, संस्कृति व जनता को हेय समझने वाले तथा अंग्रेजी को प्राणों से प्यारी समझने वालों को ही उच्च प्रशासनिक पद प्राप्त होते हैं। नतीजतन, उनमें राष्ट्रीय भावना का एक निशान भी नहीं होता है। वे राष्ट्र के नुकसान को अपना नुकसान नहीं मानते, इसलिए भ्रष्टाचार को बढ़ावा मिलता है। जनता के प्रति ईमानदारी और सहानुभूति, राष्ट्र के प्रति वफादारी नाम मात्र की भी नहीं रहती है। । देश की प्रगति रुक जाती है। यही कारण है कि आजादी के इतने लंबे समय के बाद भी हम आज सबसे गरीब देश में हैं। यही कारण है कि हमारी राष्ट्रीय एकता और अखंडता खतरे में है।

यदि वास्तव में हमारे नेता देश को बचाना चाहते हैं, तो उन्हें विदेशी भाषा का मोह छोड़ कर स्व-भाषा और आत्म-संस्कृति से जुड़ना चाहिए। शिक्षा में समानता लाने के लिए अंग्रेजी माध्यम के स्कूल को समाप्त कर देना चाहिए। हिंदी देश के संविधान की राष्ट्रभाषा और राजभाषा है, इसे अपना प्रतिष्ठित स्थान देकर संविधान के प्रति ली गई शपथ को पूरा करना चाहिए। जिस नेता ने संविधान के प्रति निष्ठा का वचन दिया है, वह संविधान द्वारा स्वीकार की गई भाषा का विरोध करके अपना वादा तोड़ देता है। भारत के लोगों को भी अपने दैनिक जीवन का प्रत्येक कार्य हिन्दी में करना चाहिए। सरकार को अपनी पूरी जिम्मेदारी निभाते हुए हिंदी को उचित सम्मान देना चाहिए।

निबंध, गद्य विधा की एक लेखन शैली है। हिंदी साहित्य कोष के अनुसार निबंध ‘किसी विषय या वस्तु पर उसके स्वरूप, प्रकृति, गुण-दोष आदि की दृष्टि से लेखक की गद्यात्मक अभिव्यक्ति है।’ एक अन्य परिभाषा में सीमित समय और सीमित शब्दों में क्रमबद्ध विचारों की अभिव्यक्ति को निबंध की संज्ञा दी गई है। इस तरह कह सकते हैं कि मोटे तौर पर किसी विषय पर अपने विचारों को लिखकर की गई अभिव्यक्ति ही निबंध है।

आइए अब जानते हैं कि निबंध के कितने अंग होते हैं और इन्हें किस प्रकार प्रभावपूर्ण ढंग से लिखकर आकर्षक बनाया जा सकता है। किसी भी हिंदी निबंध (Essay in hindi) के मोटे तौर पर तीन भाग होते हैं। ये हैं - प्रस्तावना या भूमिका, विषय विस्तार और उपसंहार।

प्रस्तावना (भूमिका)- हिंदी निबंध के इस हिस्से में विषय से पाठकों का परिचय कराया जाता है। निबंध की भूमिका या प्रस्तावना, इसका बेहद अहम हिस्सा होती है। जितनी अच्छी भूमिका होगी पाठकों की रुचि भी निबंध में उतनी ही अधिक होगी। प्रस्तावना छोटी और सटीक होनी चाहिए ताकि पाठक संपूर्ण हिंदी लेख (hindi me lekh) पढ़ने को प्रेरित हों और जुड़ाव बना सकें।

विषय विस्तार- निबंध का यह मुख्य भाग होता है जिसमें विषय के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी जाती है। इसमें इसके सभी संभव पहलुओं की जानकारी दी जाती है। हिंदी निबंध (hindi nibandh) के इस हिस्से में अपने विचारों को सिलसिलेवार ढंग से लिखकर अभिव्यक्त करने की खूबी का प्रदर्शन करना होता है।

उपसंहार- निबंध का यह अंतिम भाग होता है, इसमें हिंदी निबंध (hindi nibandh) के विषय पर अपने विचारों का सार रखते हुए पाठक के सामने निष्कर्ष रखा जाता है।

अंत में यह जानना भी अत्यधिक आवश्यक है कि निबंध कितने प्रकार के होते हैं। मोटे तौर निबंध को निम्नलिखित श्रेणियों में रखा जाता है-

वर्णनात्मक निबंध - इस तरह के निबंधों में किसी घटना, वस्तु, स्थान, यात्रा आदि का वर्णन किया जाता है। इसमें त्योहार, यात्रा, आयोजन आदि पर लेखन शामिल है। इनमें घटनाओं का एक क्रम होता है और इस तरह के निबंध लिखने आसान होते हैं।

विचारात्मक निबंध - इस तरह के निबंधों में मनन-चिंतन की अधिक आवश्यकता होती है। अक्सर ये किसी समस्या – सामाजिक, राजनीतिक या व्यक्तिगत- पर लिखे जाते हैं। विज्ञान वरदान या अभिशाप, राष्ट्रीय एकता की समस्या, बेरोजगारी की समस्या आदि ऐसे विषय हो सकते हैं। इन हिंदी निबंधों (hindi nibandh) में विषय के अच्छे-बुरे पहलुओं पर विचार व्यक्त किया जाता है और समस्या को दूर करने के उपाय भी सुझाए जाते हैं।

भाषा भावों की वाहिका और विचारों की माध्यम होती है. अतएवं किसी भी जाति अथवा राष्ट्र की भावोंत्क्रष और विचारों की समर्थता उसकी भाषा से स्पष्ट होती है.

जब से मनुष्य ने इस भूमंडल पर होश संभाला है, तभी से भाषा की आवश्यकता रही है. भाषा व्यक्ति को व्यक्ति से, जाति को जाति से राष्ट्र को राष्ट्र से मिलाती है.

भाषा का भावना से गहरा सम्बन्ध है. और भावना तथा विचार व्यक्तिगत के आधार है. यदि हमारे भावों तथा विचारों को पोषक रस किसी विदेश अथवा पराई भाषा से मिलता है. तो निश्चय ही हमारी व्यक्तिगत भी भारतीय अथवा स्वदेशी न रहकर अभारतीय अथवा विदेशी हो जाएगा.

प्रत्येक भाषा और प्रत्येक साहित्य अपने देश काल और धर्म से परिचित तथा विकसित होता है. उस पर अपने महापुरुषों और चिंतको का, उनकी अपनी परिस्थतियों के अनुसार प्रभाव पड़ता है.

कोई दूसरा देश काल और समाज भी उस सुंदर स्वास्थ्यकारी संस्कृति से प्रभावित हो, यह आवश्यक नही है.

अतएवं व्यक्ति के व्यक्तित्व का समुचित विकास और उसकी शक्तियों को समुचित गति अपने पठन पाठन में मिल सकती है.

इसका कारण यह भी है कि मात्रभाषा में जितनी सहज गति से संभव है और इसमे जितनी कम शक्ति समय की आवश्यकता पडती है उतनी किसी भी विदेशी और पराई भाषा से संभव नही है.

यह भी सच है कि हमारे देश के प्रतिभाशाली और होनहार लोग पशिचमी भाषा और साहित्य में अपनी क्षमता को देखकर स्वयं भी चकिंत रह जाते है. जिसकी यह मातृभाषा नही है.

यह भी मानना पड़ेगा कि इन परिश्रमी लोगों ने अपनी शक्ति समय और तन्मयता पराई भाषा के लिए खपाई, वह यदि मातृभाषा के लिए प्रयोग की गई होती तो एक अद्भुत चमत्कार ही हो गया होता.

माइकेल मधुसूदन दत्त का द्रष्टान्त आपके सामने है. प्रतिभा के स्वामी इस बांगला कवि ने अंग्रेजी में काव्य रचना करके कीर्ति और गौरव कमाने के लिए भारी परिश्रम और प्रयत्न किया. यह तथ्य उनको तब समझ में आया जब वे इंग्लैंड यात्रा पर गये.

बहुत अच्छा लिखकर भी वह द्वितीय श्रेणी के लेखक और कवित से अधिक कुछ नही हो सके. यदि चाहते तो अपनी भाषा के कृतित्व के बल पर वह सहज ही प्रथम श्रेणी के कवियों में प्रतिष्टित हो सकते थे.

यह सब पता चलने के बाद उन्होंने अपनी भाषा में लिखने का निर्णय किया. प्रत्यक्ष के लिए प्रमाण की क्या आवश्यकता है.

श्रीमती सरोजनी नायडू यदि अपनी मातृभाषा में काव्यरचना करती तो निश्चय ही श्रेष्ट कवयित्री होने का गौरव प्राप्त करती. मै देखती हु कि उच्च ज्ञान विज्ञान का माध्यम अंग्रेजी होने पर पिछले डेढ़ सौ वर्षो में अंग्रेजी में एक भी रवीन्द्रनाथ, शरतचंद्र, महादेवी वर्मा, जयशंकर प्रसाद, सुमित्रानंदन पन्त और उमाशंकर जोशी आदि पैदा नही हो सके. राष्ट्रभाषा राष्ट्र की उन्नति की धौतक होती है.

मानव जाति के विकास के सिदीर्घ इतिहास में सर्वाधिक महत्व संप्रेषण के माध्यम का रहा है और वह माध्यम है भाषा. मनुष्य समाज की इकाई होता है तथा मनुष्यों से ही समाज बनता है.

समाज की इकाई होने के कारण परस्पर विचार, भावना, संदेश, सूचना आदि को अभिव्यक्त करने के लिए मनुष्य भाषा का ही प्रयोग करता हैं.

वह भाषा चाहे संकेत भाषा हो अथवा व्यवस्थित, ध्वनियों शब्दों या वाक्यों में प्रयुक्त कोई मानक भाषा हो. भाषा के माध्यम से ही हम अपने भाव एवं विचार दूसरे व्यक्ति तक पहुचाते हैं तथा दूसरे व्यक्ति के भाव एवं विचार जान पाते हैं.

भाषा ही वह साधन हैं. जिससे हम अपने इतिहास संस्कृति, संचित विज्ञान तथा महान परम्पराओं को जान पाते हैं.

संसार में संस्कृत, हिंदी, अंग्रेजी, बंगला, गुजराती, उर्दू, मराठी, तेलगू, मलयालम, पंजाबी, उड़िया, जर्मन, फ्रेंच, इतालवी, चीनी जैसी अनेक भाषाएँ हैं. भारत अनेक भाषा भाषी देश हैं.

तथा अनेक बोली और भाषाओं से मिलकर ही भारत राष्ट्र बना हैं. संस्कृत हमारी सभी भारतीय भाषाओं की सूत्र भाषा है तथा वर्तमान में हिंदी हमारी राजकीय भाषा हैं.

भाषा के दो प्रकार होते है, पहला मौखिक व दूसरा लिखित. मौखिक भाषा आपस में बातचीत के द्वारा, भाषणों तथा उद्बोधन के रूप में प्रयोग में लाई जाती हैं.

तथा लिखित भाषा लिपि के माध्यम से लिखकर प्रयोग में लाई जाती हैं. यदपि भाषा भौतिक जीवन के पदार्थों तथा मनुष्य के व्यवहार व चिंतन की अभिव्यक्ति के साधन के रूप में विकसित हुई हैं.

जो हमेशा एक सी नहीं रहती हैं अपितु उसमें दूसरी बोलियों, भाषाओं से सम्पर्क भाषाओं से शब्दों का आदान प्रदान होता रहता हैं.

जीवन के प्रति रागात्मक सम्बन्ध भाषा के माध्यम से ही उत्पन्न होता हैं. किसी सभ्य समाज का आधार उसकी विकसित भाषा को ही माना जाता हैं.

हिंदी खड़ी बोली ने अपने शब्द भंडार का विकास दूसरी जनपदीय बोलियों, संस्कृत तथा अन्य समकालीन विदेशी भाषाओं के शब्द भंडार के मिश्रण से किया हैं. किन्तु हिंदी के व्याकरण के विविध रूप अपने ही रहे हैं.

हिंदी में अरबी फ़ारसी अंग्रेजी आदि विदेशी भाषाओं के शब्द भी प्रयोग के आधार पर तथा व्यवहार के आधार पर आकर समाहित हो गये हैं. भाषा स्थायी नहीं होती उसमें दूसरी भाषा के लोगों के सम्पर्क में आने से परिवर्तन होते रहते हैं.

भाषा में यह परिवर्तन धीरे धीरे होता हैं. और इन परिवर्तनों के कारण नई नई भाषाएँ बनती रहती हैं, इसी कारण संस्कृत, पालि, प्राकृत, अपभ्रंश आदि के क्रम में ही आज की हिंदी तथा राजस्थानी, गुजराती, पंजाबी, सिन्धी, बंगला, उड़िया, असमिया, मराठी आदि अनेक भाषाओं का विकास हुआ हैं.

भाषा के भेद प्रकार (Type of language)

जब हम आपस में बातचीत करते है तो मौखिक भाषा का प्रयोग करते है तथा पत्र, लेख, पुस्तक, समाचार पत्र आदि में लिखित भाषा का प्रयोग करते हैं. विचारों का संग्रह भी हम लिखित भाषा में ही करते हैं.

• मौखिक भाषा (Oral language)
• लिखित भाषा (written language)

मूलतः सामान्य जन जीवन के बीच बातचीत में मौखिक भाषा का ही प्रयोग होता हैं, इसे प्रयत्नपूर्वक सीखने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती हैं.

बल्कि जन्म के बाद बालक द्वारा परिवार व समाज के सम्पर्क तथा परस्पर सम्प्रेष्ण व्यवहार के कारण स्वाभा विक रूप से ही मौखिक भाषा सीखी जाती हैं.

जबकि लिखित भाषा की वर्तनी और उसी के अनुरूप उच्चारण प्रयत्नपूर्वक सीखना पड़ता हैं. मौखिक भाषा की ध्वनियों के लिए स्वतंत्र लिपि चिह्नों के द्वारा भी भाषा का निर्माण होता हैं.

भाषा और बोली में अंतर

एक सीमित क्षेत्र में बोले जाने वाले भाषा के स्थानीय रूप को बोली कहा जाता हैं, जिसे उप भाषा भी कहते हैं. कहा गया है कि कोस कोस पर पानी बदले पांच कोस पर बानी.

हर पांच सात मील पर बोली में बदलाव आ जाता हैं. भाषा का सीमित, अविक सित तथा आम बोलचाल वाला रूप बोली कहलाती हैं.

जिसमें साहित्य की रचना नहीं होती तथा जिसका व्याकरण नहीं होता व शब्दकोश भी नहीं होता, जबकि भाषा विस्तृत क्षेत्र में बोली जाती हैं, उसका व्याकरण तथा शब्दकोश होता हैं तथा उसमें साहित्य लिखा जाता हैं.

किसी बोली का संरक्षण तथा अन्य कारणों से यदि क्षेत्र विस्तृत होने लगता है तो उसमें साहित्य लिखा जाने लगता हैं. तो वह भाषा बनने लगती है तथा उसका व्याकरण निश्चित होने लगता हैं.

हिंदी भाषा विश्व में सबसे ज्यादा बोले जाने वाली भाषाओं में से एक है। हिंदी भाषा का महत्व सिर्फ भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि पुरे विश्व में काफी अधिक है।

हिंदी भाषा में 11 स्वर और 35 व्यंजन होते हैं और इसे “देवनागरी” नामक एक लिपि में लिखा जाता है। हिंदी एक समृद्ध व्यंजन प्रणाली से सुसज्जित है, जिसमें लगभग 38 विशिष्ट व्यंजन हैं। हालाँकि, ध्वनि की इन इकाइयों के रूप में स्वरों की संख्या निर्धारित नहीं की जा सकती है, बड़ी संख्या में बोलियों की मौजूदगी के कारण, जो व्यंजन प्रदर्शनों की सूची के कई व्युत्पन्न रूपों को नियोजित करती हैं।

प्रस्तावना :-.

हिंदी भाषा विश्व के प्राचीन और सरल भाषा में से एक है, हिंदी भाषा भारत की मूल भाषा है। हिंदी भाषा हमारी संस्कृति और संस्कारों की पहचान है। हिंदी भाषा को सीखना बहुत ही आसान है, यह भाषा हमें अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मान और गौरव प्रदान कराती है।

हिंदी भाषा विश्व में सबसे अधिक बोले जाने वाली भाषा है, हमारे भारत देश में सबसे अधिक हिंदी भाषा बोली जाती है, इसलिए हिंदी भाषा को 14 सितंबर 1949 के दिन अधिकारिक रूप से राजभाषा का दर्जा दिया गया था।

हमारे भारत देश की राष्ट्रभाषा और राजभाषा एक ही है, हमारे भारत देश में हिंदी भाषा का विशेष महत्व है। हिंदी भाषा का जन्म लगभग 1000 वर्षों पहले हुआ था, हिंदी भाषा का जन्म देवभाषा संस्कृत के कोख से हुआ है ऐसा माना जाता है।

हिंदी भाषा स्वतंत्र देश की अपनी एक भाषा होती है, जो देश की मान सम्मान और गौरव होती है। भाषा और संस्कृति ही देश की पहचान होती है। भाषा एक ऐसा माध्यम है जिसके द्वारा हम अपने विचारों का आदान-प्रदान कर सकते हैं।

हमारे देश में विभिन्न प्रकार की भाषाएं बोली जाती है जिनमें हिंदी भाषा का विशेष महत्व है, क्योंकि हिंदी हमारे भारत देश में सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली भाषा है। हिंदी भाषा केवल विचार विमर्श को साझा करने का एक माध्यम ही नहीं बल्कि यह सभी लोगों को एक दूसरे से आपस में जोड़े रखने का कार्य भी करता है।

हिंदी भाषा का विकास :-

विश्व में लगभग 3000 से भी अधिक भाषाएं बोली जाती है, उनमें से हिंदी एक महत्वपूर्ण भाषा है जिसे हमारे भारत देश में सबसे अधिक मात्रा में बोला जाता है।

भारत देश में 4 भाषा बोले जाने वाले भाषा के परिवार पाए जाते हैं जो भारोपीय ,द्रविड़, ऑस्ट्रिक और चीनी तिब्बती है। हमारे भारत देश में सबसे अधिक बोले जाने वाला भाषा “भाषा परिवार भारोपीय परिवार” है।

हिंदी भाषा का महत्व :-

हिंदी एक ऐसी भाषा है जो सभी धर्मों के लोगों को आपस में जोड़े रखने का काम करती है, यह सिर्फ एक भाषा का काम ही नहीं करती बल्कि यह एक देश की संस्कृति, वेशभूषा और रहन-सहन तथा पहचान आदि है।

हिंदी एक ऐसी भाषा है जिसकी मदद से भारत के प्रत्येक नागरिक आसानी से आपस में विचार विमर्श कर सकते हैं। हिंदी को संस्कृत की बड़ी बेटी का दर्जा भी प्राप्त है, हिंदी भाषा बहुत ही सरल भाषा है जिसे सभी लोग आसानी से सीखकर इसका प्रयोग कर सकते हैं।

हिंदी भाषा के क्षेत्र :-

उत्तर भारत में ज्यादा बोली जाने वाली भाषा हिंदी भाषा है ऐसा माना जाता था लेकिन अब हिंदी भारत प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में फैल चुका है और धीरे-धीरे हिंदी भाषा पूरे भारत में लोकप्रिय हो गया है। वर्तमान समय में हिंदी भाषा वैश्विक स्तर पर अपनी अलग ही पहचान बना चुकी है।

हिंदी भाषा वर्तमान में भारत के सभी राज्यों में मुख्य रूप से बोली जाने वाली भाषा है, बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड और राजस्थान इत्यादि राज्यों में हिंदी मुख्य रूप से बोली जाती है।

हिंदी भाषा भारत के अलावा, नेपाल, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, अमेरिका, युगांडा, जर्मनी और न्यूजीलैंड तथा सिंगापुर में भी अत्यधिक लोगों द्वारा बोले जाने वाली भाषा है।

हिंदी भाषा की विशेषताएं :-

हिंदी भाषा को देव भाषा संस्कृत का सबसे सरल रुप कहा जा सकता है, हिंदी भाषा की लिपि देवनागरी लिपि है। हम हिंदी भाषा को आसानी से लिख और बोल सकते हैं। हिंदी भाषा बहुत ही आसान भाषा है जिसे सभी लोग आसानी से समझ सकते हैं।

हिंदी भाषा का प्रयोग सभी क्षेत्र में तेजी से बढ़ता जा रहा है, हिंदी भाषा का प्रयोग कई वेबसाइटों में भी किया जा रहा है , और हिंदी भाषा को विशेष महत्व दिया जा रहा है।

हिंदी भाषा हमारी मातृभाषा है, हम सभी का कर्तव्य है हमें हिंदी भाषा के विस्तार के लिए संभव प्रयास करना चाहिए, और इसका मान सम्मान करना चाहिए। हिंदी भाषा सभी धर्म के लोगों को आपस में जोड़ने का कार्य करती है।

हिंदी भाषा बहुत ही सरल एवं आसान है जिससे हिंदी भाषा हम सभी को आसानी से समझ आ जाती है, तथा हम सभी को एक दूसरे से जोड़ कर रखती है। इस भाषा को समझना बहुत ही आसान है जिससे हम इस भाषा का प्रयोग करके आपस में अपने विचारों को बड़ी आसानी से साझा कर सकते हैं।

हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग :-

भारत में हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग लगभग सभी क्षेत्र में किया जाता है और इस भाषा का उपयोग तेजी से बढ़ता जा रहा है। पहले कई ऐसे क्षेत्र थे जहां पर हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग नहीं किया जाता था परंतु वर्तमान में धीरे-धीरे सभी क्षेत्रों में हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग किया जा रहा है।

हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग दैनिक जीवन में बोलचाल के माध्यम में ही नहीं बल्कि धीरे-धीरे सभी क्षेत्रों में आगे बढ़ रहा है जैसे अध्ययन, मेडिकल में ,इंटरनेट पर सभी क्षेत्रों में हिंदी का उपयोग किया जा रहा है। हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग टेलीविजन, रेडियो तथा दूरसंचार आदि में भी किया जा रहा है।

हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग देश में ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों में भी किया जा रहा है। वर्तमान में हमारे मातृभाषा हिंदी का इंटरनेट पर भी तेजी से विकास हुआ है, पहले इंटरनेट पर हिंदी भाषा का उपयोग नहीं किया जाता था परंतु वर्तमान में इंटरनेट पर भी हिंदी का विकास तेजी से हो रहा है अर्थात इंटरनेट पर हिंदी में भी कार्य किया जा रहा है।

हिंदी हमारी मातृभाषा है, भारत देश में हिंदी भाषा देश की गौरव एवं मान सम्मान है। हिंदी भाषा के विकास एवं प्रचार प्रसार के लिए हमें प्रयास करना चाहिए ताकि हिंदी भाषा का पूरे विश्व में महत्वपूर्ण स्थान हो, यह हमारे संस्कृति का पहचान है, विदेशों में हिंदी भाषा के कारण ही हमारे देश की पहचान होती है।

Essay on Hindi Language!

The term Hindi is used somewhat loosely to denote several dialects which had evolved into distinct literary forms of their own over some five centuries.

There was, and still is, the Braj- bhasha in which Surdas sang; the Avadhi in which Tulsidas wrote; Rajasthani in which the earliest secular literature in the form of heroic ballads appeared in north India and in which Mirabai sang; Bhojpuri; and the mother tongue of Kabir, Maithili which in the hands of Vidyapati attained immense grace and power. What is called Hindi today has this vast heritage behind it.

But in its present standard literary form it is of a comparatively recent origin, not earlier than the first decade of the nineteenth century. It is built on the basic structure of a western Indo-Aryan dialect spoken in and around Delhi known as Khari Boli—an epithet originally used in a derogatory sense, implying rough and crude speech.

The early period of Hindi literature is known as Adikala. This period comes up to mid-fourteenth century. It may be noted that while the origin of Hindi is traced by scholars to the period between the 7th and 10th centuries AD, it was only in the later 12th and early 13th centuries that Hindi literature could be said to have crossed the stage of infancy.

The Adikala period was embellished by the Siddhas, the Jain poets, the Nathapanthis and the heroic poets. Chand Bardai’s Pritviraja Rasau was the earliest representation of the tradition of secular writing in Hindi (of the Rajasthani dialect). One of the pioneer experimenters in Hindi was Amir Khusrau.

Medieval Period:

From the middle of the fourteenth century to the middle of the seventeenth century bhakti kavya dominated Hindi literature. Kabir is the outstanding poet of the Nirguna School which believed in a formless or abstract god. Guru Nanak is another great poet of this school. The Saguna School believed in a god with attributes, a human incarnation, and this school is represented by the Vaishnava poets singing in praise of either Rama or Krishna. If the great champions of Krishna are Surdas and Vidyapathi, Tulsidas sang of Rama.

There was another school of writing called the Rittikavyaka. Literally the word riti means ‘a way’; in Hindi, it refers to the special form giving predominance to the erotic element.

Historic poetry and epics were also written in this period. Muhammad Jaisi composed his Padmavat, a romantic epic, in the Hindi metre and dialect, but based on Persian masnavi style and written in Persian characters.

Modern Period:

The second half of the nineteenth century saw Hindi literature enter the modern period. In 1800, the British East India Company established Fort William College at Calcutta (now, Kolkata).

Books in Hindi and Urdu were written for the students: Prem Sagar by Lallu Lai, Naasiketopaakhyan by Sadal Mishra, Sukhsagar by Sadasukhlal of Delhi and Rani Ketaki ki Kahani by Munshi Inshallah Khan. “Hindi had to face the difficult task of cutting a new broad channel into which the waters of its many tributaries could flow and which could be perennially fed from the vast reservoir of Sanskrit.

This feat was performed by ‘Bharatendu’ Harishchandra and Mahavirpasad Dwivedi,” says Krishna Kripalani. Bharatendu is regarded as the father of modern Hindi literature. He deliberately chose the Khari Boli as the medium of prose and dramatic works, even as he used Brajbhasha for his poetry. His writings reflect the urges and impulses of an age in which the old and the resurgent were inextricably woven together.

His writings had an immense influence on other writers who enriched and modernised Hindi. Mahavirprasad Dwivedi brought a new vigour to literary activities and rejuvenated prose writing. Writers like Maithilisharan Gupta reflected in their work a simultaneous growth of the old and the new. In his poetry, traditional style in all its vitality is combined with the force of new ideals. He revived the epic tradition. It was an age when social, political and economic problems were taken up. Notable names of the time are Makhanlal Chaturvedi, Balkrishna Sharma ‘Navin’ and Ramadhari Singh ‘Dinkar’.

Then came the romantic upsurge which came to be known as Chayavad. Jayashankar Prasad, Suryakant Tripathi ‘Nirala’ and Sumitranandan Pant were the leaders of this movement. Jayashankar Prasad’s Kamayani, published in 1936, presents the psycho-biological journey of man through time and space. Mahadevi Varma is another major poet of the Chayavad School. Nature was given importance by these writers who wrote according to their inner urges.

After Chayavad came two rival trends. One was progressivism—Pragativada or people’s poetry—inspired by Marxian ideology. Yashpal, Nagarjun, Rameshwar Shukla and Naresh Mehta belong to this school. The other was Prayagavada or experimentalism, looking upon experiment or constant quest as the basic element of life and literature. Vatsyayan (Ajneya) initiated this movement. His Sekhar Ek Jivani is a noteworthy work. Other writers of this school are Dharmavir Bharati, Girija Kumar Mathur and Lakshmi Kant Verma.

In the field of fiction the name of Premchand stands out. He brought contemporary realism into the Hindi novel and short story. His imaginative insight into the life of the common folk, especially in the villages, and his simple and direct delineation of that life had a great influence on many other writers of the time. The ‘Progressive’ school owed much to Premchand. The post-Premchand novel was characterised by historical, psychological and progressive factors. Novels of ‘local colour’ were written.

Nirmal Verma was a Hindi writer, novelist, activist and translator. He is credited as being one of the pioneers of ‘Nayi Kahani’ (New Story) literary movement in Hindi literature, which is first represented in his first collection of stories, Parinde. Shrilal Shukla has written over 25 books: Makaan, Sooni Ghaati Ka Sooraj, Pehla Padaav and Bisrampur Ka Sant. His novels focus on the falling moral values in Indian society. His writings expose the negative aspects of life in rural and urban India in a satirical manner. His best known work Raag Darbari has been translated into English and 15 Indian languages.

In the field of drama, the first original drama in the real sense was Gopal Chandra’s Nahusa Nataka. But it was Gopal Chandra’s son ‘Bharatendu’ who affected a compromise between the technique of Sanskrit and Western drama to evolve Hindi prose-drama in the real sense.

Bhartendu Harishchandra, pioneer of Hindi theatre and play wrighting, wrote Satya Harishchandra (1875), Bhar Durdasha (1876) and Andher Nagari (1878). In the late 19th century, Jaishankar Prasad received recognition for his plays like Skanda Gupta (1928), Chandragupta (1931) and Dhruvswamini (1933).

To evade colonial censorship, writers had adapted themes from mythology, history and legend and used them as vehicle to convey political messages. Street theatre later broke this trend IPTA-inspired Naya Theatre of Habib Tanvir did it in 1950s-90s and Jana Natya Manch of Safdar Hashmi did it in the 1970s-80s.

Though in the post-independence period, Hindi playwriting has shown greater brevity and symbolism, it has not been as prolific as Hindi poetry or fiction. Important playwrights of this era include Jagdish Chandra Mathur (Konark), Upendranath Ashk (Anjo Didi), Mohan Rakesh, who wrote Ashadh Ka Ek Din (1958), Adhe Adhure and Lehron Ke Rajhans, Dharamvir Bharati, who wrote Andha Yug, Surendra Verma and Bhisham Sahni.

In the field of literary criticism, Acharya Ramachandra Shukla synthesised ancient Sansktrit poetics and modern Western criticism.

The 1950s saw the rise of Nakenwad, a school deriving its nomenclature from the first letters of the names of its three pioneers, poets Pandit Nalin Vilochan Sharma, Kesari Kumar, and Naresh Mehta. Nalin Vilochan and Kesari Kumar were also noted critics, with a wide perspective on literary history. Kunwar Narain is a poet with a presence.

Amar Kant is a noted writer of Hindi literature. His novel Inhin Hathiyaron Se earned him the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2007.
